Oh god yes. The removal of unit stacking was the only improvement over the other games, practically everything esle took a plunge, all in the name of gaining "broader appeal" by impementing simpler mechanics. Eww.

This is like the first time I hear criticism of that game on the internet. I was thinking that I was the problem, but apparently I am not alone, at least...

CIV III is my all-time favorite.
