The latest update to the SteamOS beta provides users with the option to dual-boot and create custom partitioning. Released two days ago, the update will allow those who wish to do so, install both Windows and SteamOS onto the system. Activision Blizzard appoints former Warner Bros. boss to board of directors
Longtime Warner Bros. executive Barry Meyer has joined Activision Blizzard’s board of directors and nominating and corporate governance committee, GamesIndustry reports. Meyer left his former position as Warner Bros. CEO in March 2013, having been with the entertainment company in senior roles since 1971. Activision Blizzard’s management is of particular interest because CEO Bobby Kotick and a few other major players recently purchased the majority of the publisher from its one-time parent company, Vivendi, granting it greater autonomy and independence.

Noticed some weird happenings in your Steam Library today? Some users have reported a strange error where the game labelled “Team Fortress 2″ is actually Left 4 Dead, and vice versa. Just a little blip here: according to a Swedish investor note turned up by Superannuation, Starbreeze describes its upcoming co-op shooter Storm as “PayDay in space”. That’s likely to be more of a suggestive lure for investors than a literal description, but don’t rule out the possibility of space robberies. Storm was quietly announced almost one year ago, and apart from word that it may incorporate elements of a shelved project called Cold Mercury, we know absolutely nothing about it.
