They're still committed to fab a lot of chips at GF. If their CPU sales decline further that puts even more pressure on them to make it up or pay up.

So really they're another $500m+ from being free of GF. AMD itself is only worth $2.6bn.

That's why I said "slowly".  Jaguar and video cards should keep AMD afloat long enough to make the money they need to reduce their contract with Digital Foundries.  Plus the more PS4 sell the more AMD makes (Hopefully anyways.)
