Jesus, what's with the theories "Sega would do this, Sony would do that"?

History lesson: it's 1983, and everybody makes a gaming console. Consumers are alienated by a saturated market, and video games DIE in NA. On the same year, Nintendo releases the Famicom in Japan, effectively changing gaming's focus from NA to Japan. Sure, the Sega SG-1000 was released on the same day, but did it have Mario? Nope.

There would be NO VIDEO GAMES guys. No NES/Mario to reignite american's interest on video games, no Nintendo to ignite japanese's interest on games, no Sega making Sonic, no Sony being screwed by Nintendo. Nothing.

Maaaaaaybe we would have Doom, Wolfenstein and PC gaming in general. Maybe, but that's about it.
