As a UK gamer, I spent my entire gaming life being neglected by Nintendo. I love their games, and the GameCube was still my favourite system of that generation after the Dreamcast. But I think a result of the contempt they showed Europe in the 80s and 90s meant my expectations from them have always been diminished.
That said, in light of their inability to secure decent third party support for the Wii U, it's sad that they are not pursuing a wider variety of content themselves. Some titles like StarFox, F-Zero and Metroid would certainly improve the Wii U roster drastically at this point. Donkey Kong looks great, but they've already put a fair few decent Platform games on the system.
