-Nintendo is doomed b/c they seem to be running out of ideas: They release a console that had a hook, but no bait.

-Ninty is doomed b/c they are stubborn/lack humility: instead of doing the right thing for their company, and offering a Wii U sku w/o gamepad (pro controller or wii m+nunchuk) they continue to insist shoving the gamepad down their throat. Its become clear, the market does not think Wii U is an upgrade or worth adopting simply from their gamepad experiece. Consumers expected a substantial visual jump from PS360 to be considered worthy. Nintendo offered icing (gamepad) without the cake (power) and that simply won't do. Remove the pad, and sell the system for $199.

-Ninty is not doomed because of their warchest. They have the funds to become aggressive, and form the right partnerships with certain western companies (i.e Valve) who can help bring them out of their Japanese hibernation cave, into modern times. Let NOJ take care of the handheld market, and let NOA & NOE take care of the home console market.

Lets hope at the baseline, Nintendo does not ever sacrifice power for their gimmick...to make their gimmick (if needed) the typical price for a controller sold separately, which is $50-60. $350 price of Wii U was not the problem, had it been a properly powered next gen console. So nintendo needs to learn that hard lesson from now on, that yes gameplay matters over graphics but does not mean you need to sacrifice or castrate a console's power, which must be on par with competition if you want to be taken seriously by 3rd parties and gamers.
