I know they are trying to ease the profit loss by allowing the PS3 to tread on but in the end the PS3 is restricting sales. A solution to this would be allow the PS3 to go on for a tad longer, end of this fiscal year. After that cancel all production of the machine. Add Backward Compatability to the PS4, standard. Bite the bullet till the cost to produce the machine comes down again. I just really think that the PS3 MUST DIE!!! Who is with me? |
Are you serious? LOL
The target group of PS3 and PS4 are not the same, PS3 is 2x as cheap, those people won't get a PS4 until it's cheaper. Simple economics. Do the cheap Samsung phones eat in Galaxy S4 sales? No.
The PS3 will go on to sell 100 million units, Sony will still push it in emerging markets after sales fall in the West like they did with PS1 and PS2.
