Market didn't shifted... 7th gen consoles sold more than 6th gen consoles... the console market in Japan growed and it will grow again.
If a console didn't sell like you expected kt is because it wasn't popular like the previous one...
And now we had PS4 that will be more popular than Wii in Japan with a plus it will combine PS3 Wii usebase in Japan.
