That was the point of the design.  That it blend into the living room. 

Again, if people read the article rather than pick it apart, they'll realize the whole goal was for the Xbox One to essentially be invisible.  The Xbox One's design is understated, almost to the point of excess.

Compare that to the PS4 and it's colored lights. 

But I don't want my console to blend into my living room.

I want people to walk in and be like "Good Lord what the fuck is that? o.O"
