Does it matter why exactly it was cancelled in EU? It's been done. The problem is that EU system gamers can't get the game anymore. Which is, by the way, localized in NA.

At this point, I would suppose that your only option is playing it from a flashcart, I reckon that would bypass the region lock. Naturally, buy the game to support the publisher, though,

 I wouldn't support a publisher  that doesn't support the region I live  in. Oh well.

Well, it's your loss. I'd rather support a pub that actually localizes games rather than shuns them (hence, I have PAL copies of Xenoblade and TLS - gonna pick up Pandora's Tower soon enough).
