The difference is 3D requires you to wear glasses and not everyone is comfortable with the stereoscopic effect.
Glasses free 3D tvs are expensive and have diminished picture quality and restricted viewing angles.
OLED faces production difficulties and still costs over $10K
While 4K is a natural step forward and is already hitting sub $1000 prices.
