Nintendo is like a pebble in the pond compared to the size and scope of Sony and Microsoft.

It's like your cheering cause David tripped and fell over and Goliath is about to smash his head in.

Well Nintendo was a big deal until Sony stepped in and it practically made video games a thing. It's not that small when compared to just the gaming divisions of MS and Sony. Also Nintendo was and still is steamrolling every handheld competition.

But now it has fallen, part of which is due to ignoring core gamers and still holding their biggest IPs hostage and doing nothing with them. Nintendo was a mighty empire and they have fallen, not because the competition is so great but because they didn't adapt to the market. It basically made MS and Sony('s game divisions) what they are today by stepping out of the ring.
