I always thought Treyarch had a better handle on the franchise than IW. Black Ops was my favorite in the series, plus they added the zombies mode which is one of the most addicting survival modes ever. Call of Duty 4 was amazing but they kind of slipped up with MW2 in my opinion. The game was plagued with glitches and horribly balanced.
