I always laugh when people talk about a resurgent Sony and then give the PS4 as a shining example. Well it's easy to be resurgent when your competitors shoot themselves in their foot and you're willing to take a loss on hardware. It's not like Apple or Samsung are going to shoot themselves in the foot so it's highly unlikely that Sony's (TVs/Tablets/Smartphones) will see the same kind of success against their competitors .

Thankfully in the real world, global sales are what's really important and the PS4 has been that shining example in doing what right after Sony shot themselves in the foot with the PS3.

PS4 is not beeing sold at a loss, the cost to manufacture it is 381$, they removed the PSeye from the package to cut the 100$ of the price and make it cheaper than the ONE, Sony said theyd never sell a console at a loss again.
Dont make stuf up. Also all that everything you listed mean is that the PS4 is a better deal than the One for consumers and Sony isnt making a resurgence cause it never went away, PS3 didnt sell like PS2 but it was pretty sucessfull (sold more than the 360), it sucked financially tough cause of how expensive the Cell processor was.

381 says insider, ignoring distribution and storage cost. Would be 500-600 $, so 100-200 $ loss if these numbers were true.

Ye theres no way in hell Sony is selling this thing at a 200$ loss considering the financial situation the company is in, and if thats the price of the PS4 whats the Ones price 800$ ?
