I would be perfectly fine with a new console fall 2016. Four year is exactly what the original Xbox had, and Wii U is set to sell way less. At this point I'm unhappy with my Wii U, can't wait for a new one that is either Wiimote as standard (very unlikely), or a more standard controller, or something entirely new. That last one's a big risk but it could either pay off well (Wii) or not so well (Wii U).

But they said today that they spent way more money on development. Maybe the Wii U still has many great things to offer in the next years, but at this point I expect none. :( At least there's one game I really like so far this gen, Rayman Legends, but I'm finished with that one now. Wouldn't expect that my favourite title on a Nintendo system would be third party.

Edit: And I don't expect the Wii U ever to reach GCN numbers, in my opinion the console doesn't deserve it either. GameCube was a great console, while the Wii U will maybe eventually be fun, all there is now is some early 3rd party titles which is small, NSMB, a couple niche 1st party titles, Nintendo Land, Lego City, Pikmin, WWHD and of course 3D World. That last one hasn't even moved many systems...

But when Nintendo is in the darkest of times, they usually bring up awesome stuff. Don't disappoint me now Nintendo. I really get my hopes up for E3, I just can't be prepared to be disappointed one more time.

Yep.
