It´s not as expensive as it looks.

Firstly, the new Metroid. It can use the same engine as Other M, just fix the problems with the game (story, linearity, voice actors). It's a second oportunity with the same assests.

Retro's Mass Effect doesn't need to have the same presentation. If the gameplay is good it will cover the part of the game itself. But, they can aslo do a Zelda Spin-off starring Sheik in the Ocarina of Time world.

Futuristic Zelda, well. I'm pretty sure at this point the team has a lot of artwork and draws that can help. And it can share the same engine as the Zelda game.

Pokemon Red Remake. The game is already done in the sense of story, gameplay and music. It will be costly, but not as expensive as for example Skyward Sword.

None of the projects I said needs more than 2-3 years of development and can sell more than games like Pikmin or WWHD.

I don't think you are completely honest here. You say that limited development budgets are okay, yet you were among the people who criticized SM3DW for reusing assets, laziness, blandness etc.

No more than 2-3 years is still a lot of time for a single game. Selling more than Pikmin and WWHD... that's not really an argument in favor of viability.

Galaxy 2 reuses the same assets. That's lazy, yet the game is good and even some (wrongly) believe it's better than the first one. I love to see OoT 3D upresed port on my 3DS, even when I know it's the same artstyle. And that's the key, if the artstyle is good it can be used more than one time, example Celda.

3DWorld plays like a 3D SMB3 version and looks like something between Galaxy and NSMB. Nothing bad but not as spectacular as Galaxy.

Also, 2-3 years while is still a lot of time compared to the annual releases, it's normal development time for those franchises that are a must buy. You can't expect to do a must buy for the core Nintendo fanbase in six months that it's not a port.

And finally, selling more than Pikmin and WWHD is still a good argument considering Nintendo believes both are must haves a not just filler games. And we are talking about must buys.

IF they really believe that (and i dont think they do) they are even more gone than anyone thought
