BeElite said: No. Why are some one here against ninty selling games on ios and android.... a market with billion users not enough for you, you want them to limit their sales to their own phone which would be a sales disaster.

We do not want that to happen because smartphones do not have buttons and a lot of us have become accustomed to the second screen experience found on 3DS, DS, Wii U (not having to pause games to access maps and manage inventory). Also, how can you tell for certain that the phone would be a sales disaster?

Why the hell would anyone buy a nintendo phone? other then maybe a few million hardcore ninty fanboys.
|
Same reason people would buy a 3DS; it has Nintendo games and the price is relatively low (if they do this it would be perfect thing to buy as a kids' first smartphone as wel). If Nintendo manages to couple this with some basic functionalities like multitasking and multimedia than it would be a win as an entry level smartpone. Of course if Nintendo decides to price it at like $500 then of course the device will fail. Moreover, I think Nintendo would wise to release a portable non-phone version as well for those who do not want the phone functionality.

.... its just sooooo much easier and simpler to sale on ios and android,
and as if all ninty needs these days is more hardware to try to sale.

Well they might as well try, Nintendo made a lot of money from their hardware in the past. If making a single platform phone and portable fails, then they can always look at iOS and Android and other platforms.
