3D Mario World, as awesome as it is, is still the inferior game to the classic 2D Mario game, NSMB U. That is why the latter was able to push Wii U's during launch, and the former barely was, even when the price was cheaper (and yes, it DID move the hardware as it was pretty much the only Wii U game worth getting, and without it, Wii U probably would have sold far worse than it did).. The 3D Mario series, is a more "core" franchise, and thus won't be able to push much Nintendo hardware. Hell, even Mario Galaxy didn't move many Wiis.
