Both shows have similarities but even thought I tried it, Sons of Anarchy didn't get me.

And that's a shame because Ron Perlman is one of my fav actors.

I mean there are people who enjoyed The Shield I don´t count myself among those, but its from the same creator so maybe you´ll like it.  

And of course there is the all time Classic "The Wire" "Omar is commin". And if you like Horror maybe you´ll like American horror Story

I watched the first season of that show, and it wasn't bad. Then the channel that aired it started playing with the timeslot and I got lost.

Some TV channels over here do some very stupid things with that and I had to give up on some shows (or more recently use internet and watch them even if that means doing it ilegally) because of that. Airing shows like The Closer, Eureka, The Unit, Lost Girl, etc. way past 02:00AM is beyond ridiculous. I don't even know whay they bother buying the rights for them.
