3rd Party support means nothing for Nintendo.
Wii - 100 million sold - low 3rd party support
Gamecube - 22 million sold - high 3rd party support
What they need is to stop screwing around with games like Pikmin and Wonderful 101 that they should be releasing years down the line when an install base is already there, and get their heavy hitters, like Wii Sports,Mario Kart, and Smash Bros out already. The more I think about it, the more I do think Iwata should be fired. Just a simple look at past sales could tell you what games Nintendo should be focusing on getting out 1st. Wii U will pick up alot of steam this year, but Nintendo basically wasted an entire year of its life by not supporting it.
