True but Polyphony's development times are absolutely glacial, this could just be a stopgap to GT7, I doubt Yamauchi would let anyone but PD use the name so it might just be to give PS4 a nice answer to FM5 on XB1 in the short term whilst the real heavy artillery gets ready

?? Gt5 was the only gt game with a long dev cycle (PS3 devlopment issues were not uncommon), so no their dev times are not glacial, gt7 will be out much faster.

Well, I hope so, but they wouldn't be the only Japanese dev whose cycles seem to have got out of hand (SE with FFXV, SCEJ with the Last Guardian). Hopefully you're right and PS4's straightforwards architecture irons out these issues
