The question really though, is what features really persuade a customer to upgrade to a One from a 360? In your OP, you mention that people don't know what a WiiU is, or why they should upgrade. You also mention people might already be satisfied and won't be spending 300$ for minimal improvement.
In what ways do you suggest xb1 has really improved over the x360 in the casual sense?
All the streaming content is still there.
All the kinect stuff is still there.
Much larger library on 360.
Really not much has changed, wouldn't you agree?
That, imo, is MS' biggest problem at the moment. I don't see casuals jumping on board later on, when the 360 is already available. 500$...even 350$, is much more than an extremely similar product.
EDIT: Not to mention that some of the must have features like voice based channel selection, is available already right in your cable box, or on your tv, or through your phone, or dongle, etc etc etc..for a tenth of the price.
