I'm not disagreeing with you.
But I think PS4 will be first this entry generation... a lot of "low" sales from PS3 was because the late release compared with your main competitor 360... Nintendo with Wii make your own race and the battle was between PS3 and 360.
If PS3 was launched together with 360 I'm sure the same that are happening with PS4 now could happen with PS3.... the PS3 could never stay behind 360 in sales and the sales of 360 could never reach what they accomplished last gen.
This generation will show how from start to end one console in the top stop.
