Hi everyone.

This is still unofficial at this stage (i'll be keen to see what Nintendo announce in the coming days), but our data is showing around 1.25 million copies of Brawl sold on Sunday 9th March in America following the midnight launch. Well over 2 million copies of the game were shipped and we are expecting it to hit somewhere in the region of 1.8-2.0 million by the end of the week.

It looks like Smash's first week sales world wide will beat Halo 3's first week sales world wide. And, of course, Smash will have *much* better legs. I'd look at this game to have better legs than the previous Smash Brothers games.

How about the sales of the Wii? Do Nintendo still having supply issue? & attach rate?

Halo 3 $170 million in sales (1st day) = 2.8 million copies?

Nintendo does not have even close to enough supply to meet demand in the US.  The Wii still sells out within hours of hitting selves, often selling out before the store even opens as people still wait in line.

How did you figure 2.8 million copies?  How many of those were Legendary Editions for $130?  Halo 3 did less than 3.8 million copies world wide on its first week -- a number Smash Brothers is likely to surpass if you combine the first week from each region.
