Monster Hunter > all of Vita's exclusives combined in terms of market impact.
3DS looks like it's pretty much a lock to get Dragon Quest XI as well now that Mr. Horii shot down the idea of a phone/tablet version first.
Nintendo really only needs MH + DQ to wipe the floor with the Vita anyway.
Honestly though, both have somewhat poor third party lineups.
The PSP had far better third party support than the Vita ... Monster Hunter, original GTA games, original MGS games, Final Fantasy, proper Ridge Racer games, etc. etc. It seems to me like Western devs are also ditching the Vita ... no second Call of Duty game for example.
Many developers are focusing on iOS/Android this gen it looks like. Perhaps that huge success of that Puza Dora game or whatever on the 3DS (looks like its headed for 1.5 million sold) will bring some Japanese devs running back to the 3DS.
