They have to cut the price, cause Wii U just isn't worth $299, but I think they'll just cut it to $249. $100 is too much of a hit, they won't be able to afford it and it would make them look desperate at the same time.

I think they just plan to redesign the Wii U to cut the manufacturing costs and release the new games - MK8, Smash, X, Bayo2, hopefully something more like a new Metroid Prime (or at least Trilogy HD), they should tease a new mature Zelda. All this should help them sell more hardware, though it obviously won't turn Wii U into a runaway success.

A $199 price would be absolutely awesome and I'd finally buy one for myself, but I just can't see them doing it.
Maybe they could do a 3DS $80 cut and go to $219? That would actually be a great move.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/
