PS3 has probably the most diverse lineup in gaming history. For example, the PS2 had tons of great games, but no big hit first person shooters outside of Medal of Honor, and had almost no WRPGs. The PS3 had games like Call of Duty 4, Killzone 2, Resistance series, Mass Effect, Elder Scrolls, Fallout 3, etc. etc.
I have to say the PS3 became a pretty good system even after its stumbling out of the gate.
