MS doesn't even bother to get enough developers in the west exclusive for the X1. What makes you think they would throw money at a dead market like Japan? X1 will always be worse off simply by the fact that it was produced in the wrong country.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
