If by pulling a Dreamcast you mean having an forward thinking console, with an awesome games line-up released in a short 18 month life cycle, I'd be rather happy.
That said, I'd switch to the alternative. Most games these days are multi-platform.
That's what I actually did when the Dreamcast ceased production, I bought a PS2.
