Admittedly I've only started playing RPGs recently but I like to have the choice. Currently playing Ni No Kuni and enjoying the action battles going on there but I'm completely open to turn-based
Star Wars: KOTOR was a great blend of the 2, though mechanically it worked like a turn-based game the ability to move around made it feel very real-time, I played it for a couple of years and never really noticed it was actually turn-based until I read about the battle system later on
