I think it might be a little different if you worked out the numbers sold per head of population in the markets in which each console is available, most of the PS4's extra countries are not that highly populated in the greater scheme of things, so they drag the average down. Also Sony's best market is Europe which is split into 20-odd countries whereas MS's is NA which has just 3.
But then you knew that, because you're not being serious ;)
