But, seriously, you need to factor in other criteria, not just sales figures. I'd argue Zelda remains the more relevant franchise, the more discussed franchise, the more acclaimed franchise, and the more beloved franchise.

Sales data doesn't tell the whole story. Take Resident Evil 6 for example. It sold 4.4 million copies, according to our beloved site. Does that figure explain the negative reaction from fans and critics? Does it explain the loss of prestige for the series?

Maybe the question that could decide this debate is as follows: as a publisher or hardware manufacturer, would you rather own the rights to Zelda or Uncharted going forward?

Just my two cents. Both series deserve the love and attention they receive.
