With pretty much my only exceptions being Earthbound, and Pokemon X, I prefer action RPG's.
Reasons listed below:
-Less grinding
-Easier to understand and master
-No random encounters
-Combat is more satisfying and less tedious
-Your level doesn't hinder you as much as it would in a turn based RPG (ex. You're a level 4, but you have the best weapon in the game, so you still have a good chance of winning)
