As a games company, they are indeed in dire straits. As a company overall, they are a giant 3.25 Billion dollar company with diverse business interests (slot machines, health clubs, casinos etc.) and healthy profits, a state which most games companies right now can only dream of. There is a possibility that games just are not that important to their overall business anymore. So it really depends how you define greatness.
