From the launch of the PS3:
I don't think there is any console that has continued to be outsold by its successor past its release for so long, painting this in the light of the PS2's success against the 360 is an interesting spin but it raises just as many questions as the PS3s struggle to keep up as well. I did like how you tried to put the spin on it that over the past 8 weeks things have been different though. But really the point is that since the PS3s launch its lost ground on its predecessor just like the 360. You're basically saying well look if we look at the longterm the 360 did bad....and if we look at this period where the PS3 has done well and the 360 has slowed down etc...etc...why not take this comparison to the middle of last year when the 360 was blazing and the PS3 was slowing down?? I really do like this comparisons to be honest because it is interesting, but please if you're going to do them try to portray them in an open and honest light rather than showing the 360 comparison for the long term then switching to a more favorable short term comparison when the PS3 is brought in. Your last post was set up from start to finish to highlight what you liked and hide what you didn't. To be blunt the PS3 and 360 don't have to live up to the PS2, the PS2 was and is a sales phenom and its a gold standard not a measuring stick. I really don't think this diminishes what the 360 and PS3 have done nearly as much as it highlights what the PS2 has done tbh. |
You cannot use PS3's Japanese launch date...
