I don't need a 4K TV for a few years, partially because of the price and partially because I just don't need 1...
As for monitors, mine are only a year old and I would need a significant GPU upgrade, so maybe in 2 years?
Ultimately, what am I actually going to be watching in 4k? Selected shows on Netflix and some PC games. So I don't think there is any reason to buy now
As for phones, 1080p is more than plenty. Others have said this too, but trying to push ridiculous resolutions is going to kill the battery
