IT NEEDS ITS OWN THREAD! On a serious note, I only made this thread as a reference that just because a game is selling better than another game, it shouldn't affect what kind of game you buy. Unfortuantely, a lot of people missed the point. I probably wasn't as clear as I needed to be.

I was being more tongue-in-cheek than critical.

Though "buy the game you want to play the most" does seem like the most obvious thing in the world to me.  Most of the Knack vs. Mario threads aren't saying Knack is a better game, just noting a surprising turn of events--and it is note-worthy, just as a Nintendo Bayonetta game out-selling a God of War game would be.  There would be a million threads about that, were it to happen, and everyone knows it.

No one should ever buy a game simply because it sold the most.  Of course, that happens all the time, and franchises like Mario (and Halo, God of War, etc.) are usually the ones that reap the benefits.
