Yes, they have separate SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) numbers but so do Limited Editions, Special Editions, GOTY Editions, etc...for games.  Do you wish them kept separately as well?

Aryu, some LE and GOTY editions have exclusive content too.

Except Limited, Speical, GOTY Editions don't double a game's sales like we sere here with X and Y.

So it's OK to include them together as long as the special editions account for less than 50% of the overall total?

Enough with the sarcastic questions, why do you think it's okay for 2 games that are on the same platform to be tracked as the same game? Just because they have the same brand name and same release date?

Perhaps because they are the same game just with different starter characters.   Same thing with all other Pokemon titles and the Nintendogs series on DS.  And with Pokemon trading, exclusives are not really exclusive.

If you have an issue with this, take it up with VGC management and present solid validations for SKU separation.

Business analyst do not care about the the content within in a game but both of them are not sold together as one game you have to purchase each product individually. But I'm done this conversation here.
