Using inflation to defend a console's price is pointless unless the system you use to argue a price point is still in production and even then, that said console's price would still be cheaper due to cheaper parts and being a old outdated console cause its successor is out and will obviously be more expensive due to newer tech. |
Actually the price adjusted for inflation was the $200 model, not the $300. If we adjust for inflation at $300 the deluxe NES would cost $649.82

I'm not defending the WIi U's price-point, I am pointing out a false statement by others. The Wii U's price-point will adjust for whichever demand Nintendo wishes. That is a discussion entirely different from the one of this thread.
