The Choices 2013 Bundle from Indie Royale is now available

The Choices 2013 Bundle is now available through Indie Royale. This week’s bundle features eight titles featured in previous bundles from 2013: A Valley Without Wind, A Valley Without Wind 2, Cognition Episode 1: The Hangman, Cognition Episode. 2: The Wise Monkey, Dungeon Hearts, Pid, Richard & Alice and Waveform. All the games are available for Windows via Steam and Desura as well as Mac, except Richard & Alice which is also on Steam Greenlight. Dungeon Hearts and Waveform are also on Linux. The current minimum is $5.17 and if you pay over $6 you will also net the CoLD SToRAGE, Slipstream Volume 1 album.

Kickstarter: $202 million pledged to over 8,000 gaming projects in 2013

Kickstarter announced that during 2013, $202 million was pledged to a little over 8,000 gaming projects with $186 million collected by developers whose projects were successful. That’s the extent of the gaming specifics figures, but in all, 3 million people pledged $480 million across all Kickstarter projects in 2013 – up from 2.2 million backers and $320 million pledged in 2012. Metal Gear Rising: Revengence now available for PC through Steam

As promised back in December, Metal Gear Rising: Revengence is now available through Steam for PC. It will run you $29.99. The game was announced for PC back in May, and in June, it was announced the title would run at a “blistering 60fps” on most modern PCs.

Banished to fulfill your medieval city building needs next month

Banished, the medieval city building simulation title from Shining Rock Software, will be released on February 18. Originally slated for release in January, the developer states the current build “will be tested until release.” This included the final tutorials, help system, along with minor code and balancing tweaks. SteamOS update adds AMD graphics support

During CES 2014, Valve and Intel announced that SteamOS had gained native Intel support. Valve also said that the equivalent AMD support would follow shortly – and now it has, arriving with the latest update. When first released, SteamOS was only out-of-the-box compatible with Nvidia. None of this matters to you yet, I suppose, unless you’re one of the lucky few with beta access to the new, Linux-based operating system.

Bloodnet now available on GOG

Here’s one for the veterans among you; Microprose RPG Bloodnet is now available on GOG. For $6 you can enjoy both versions, which were originally released on floppy and CD, depending on which system was the seat of your heart back in the day. The Cyberpunk RPG boasts a cool gimmick in that players visit Cyberspace, which is a bit amusing now but was very cool in 1993, especially given the then-novel vampire theme.
