But I think to get to 1 million it's going to need digital + shipped numbers, yeah. Yeah, I understand the established audience argument and that's definitely a part of it. I think the established audience is probably, ironically, falling off on PS3 as the system gets older though. At least in Japan, I think more and more people are migrating to 3DS & Vita. I hope that Zesteria and Persona 5 will keep the userbase there, but I'm wondering if Zesteria is even going to sell less than Xillia 2. What I'm saying is, I think people who wouldn't normally have bought JRPG's or maybe would have bought them but not a Persona game, picked up P4G if they got a Vita. It probably attracted a wider audience than the IP would have alone. Anyway, maybe this whole argument will be decided for us anyway. After all, Atlus is SEGA now. Which means Persona 5 won't come to the west because SEGA. Do you think it will sell 1 million in Japan alone? ololol. |
In my wet dreams, Persona usurps FFXIII-2 and Tales to become the only million selling HD JRPG aside from FFXIII in Japan. In the meantime, 1 mil worldwide will suffice!

I think so too, but if you had to bet either way - over or under 1 mil for shipped+digital - which would you choose? This part is vitally important
