You spoke of gameplay so I thought it might be interesting to know most racing games dont even feel like cars yet they still sell so gameplay is actually required to be 'not good' for it to be accessible to most people to have fun with.
unless you consider a car that doesnt handle like a car to be good gameplay to begin with which is a bit of a problem and makes my whole comment confusing and pointless.
