If you are speaking of buying, today, a PS4 for $400 instead of a PS3 for $300, than i agree with you.

But if you saying that some that already have a PS360, to pay a $400/$500 just to play a slightly better port of a game he/she can already play, than i have to say i think the appeal of that proposal is at least questionable. 

It depends on the games i guess. If you're interested in COD, AC, FIFA etc. you might aswell pick those games on a new system right away.
