If it isn't a Pokemon game for the Wii U it's going to be something that's going to shift consoles. Pokemon would be the safest bet imo, particularly when you consider the Wii U's NFC functionality. A Pokemon game with cards or figurines to collect, my money would be Nintendo choosing the former over the latter for 2 reasons: 1) They would be cheaper to produce and 2) They would be easier for people to store, meaning people will be able to buy more of the things. It's going to be a licence to print money, I'm surprised they didn't do it last year tbh. |
If they ever did figures like Skylanders then Nintendo would be the top company again for a while. The Pokemon Rumble figures sold out quick and they were just little $4 figures that went with DLC game.

When it happens the sales will blitz the sales of Skylanders and Infinity added together...and that's before you even start to think about the Wii U soon to be available in China.
It's going to drive Wii U hardware sales through the roof when (and it's certainly a case of when and not if) it happens.
