Pretty much. The idea that some games/systems are "hardcore" is rather silly, though I don't imagine the OP was taking the idea all that seriously.

But tbh I have to agree.  Mario 3D World is more a hardcore game  than  COD or any other mainstream game is because well they are mainstream not hardcore. Stuff like Angry Birds for example is more hardcore than COD (because go back 20 years make it want a quarter for everytime you "fail" and then you have the original meaning of hardcore. Mario and Angry Birds etc. are hardcore games they just lost the INSERT COIN aspect.)
