DerNebel already explained that in this thread (his 2nd reply, his 1st wonders pretty much about the same thing you do)
Amazon counts the preorders for the month they were made in, not for november when the units were actually shipped and in nov amazon probably just didn't have many PS4/X1s in stock or available for preorder.
