his concern isnt about making a valid comparison, he was asked to comment and he commented on the status que, which is true. in the upcoming years Microsofts Gaming division* revenue and profits will depend on the xbox one, which sits on 3 million. steam sits at 65 million signed up users and expanding. he does not care about the comparison being "valid" in your eyes, he is simply stating facts.
Edit: i meant Microsofts Gaming Division, not the entire company. *
