Um, I got mine at the midnight launch and played right away and I haven't had that problem. I've also never even heard about this problem. I'm not saying it doesn't exist, I'm sure you do have the problem, I'm just saying that if it was as big as everyone who went online right away we would have heard much more grumblings than on the Gamefaq's forums.
I have the funny feeling some of those people are just making things up to make Brawl look bad.
