So, in the land of the handhelds, Final Fantasy X HD debuts on the Vita and yet WiiU hardware sales edge out Vita hardware sales this week despite a healthy Vita sales bump?

What is this madness?

Because of this this games

06./03. [WIU] Wii Party U # (Nintendo) {2013.10.31} (¥4.935) - 87.262 / 518.766 <60-80%> (-32%)
07./04. [WIU] New Super Mario Bros. U # (Nintendo) {2012.12.08} (¥5.985) - 75.131 / 965.794 <80-100%> (-34%)
08./07. [WIU] Super Mario 3D World (Nintendo) {2013.11.21} (¥5.985) - 71.159 / 410.041 <60-80%> (-23%)

Of course, but it's not like any of those games debuted that week whereas the Vita, in a market where handhelds dominate, had a pretty popular game debut - even if it was just a remake.

The point was not that the Vita did badly at all (in fact, quite the contrary) but that WiiU, a console that had 5k weekly sales earlier in the year, had comparable sales with a handheld that received a boost.

PSV is a handheld but it dosn't have many games that interest people, those 3 games are bigger then any games released on psv, thoses games  had an increase in sales and those new owners buy a wii u with the games.

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m
