With this being the last numbers for calendar year 2013, i see it fitting to address the top selling software for that year. As we can see there is a Nintendo combobreaker at number 8 with GTA5 being the top selling western published title in Japan. This is actually a historic event since at no prior year has this ever happened before. Could this be the sign of a paradigm shift where western publishers could have great success in Japan? 

So yes, another year of Nintendomination happened on the software front with Nintendo dominating the best seller list for 2013. 6 games in the top 10 was published by Nintendo, 1 game by Capcom, 1 game by SE, 1 game by GungHo, 1 game by T2 Interactive. 

Here's for 2014. Will Nintendo be dominant this year? I believe its going to be hard arguing against that.
